Hailing from the Philippines, Aly's journey into craftsmanship began long before she discovered woodworking. From her early years, she possessed a natural inclination towards working with her hands, often fashioning toys and constructing playhouses from the materials found in her countryside surroundings.

 

After high school, She pursued her passion for creation by studying architecture, drawn to the idea of shaping the environments people inhabit. However, her desire to engage more directly in the act of building led her to explore opportunities in the construction industry upon moving to Canada.

 

Despite facing initial challenges, including the lack of prior woodworking experience and navigating language barriers as a newcomer, Her determination and keen observation skills propelled her forward. She found herself immersed in the world of custom furniture at a Toronto-based workshop, where she honed her craft under the guidance of seasoned artisans.

 

For Aly, furniture making is not just a profession but a lifelong pursuit of mastery.
